9 Best Podcasts for Your Alcohol-Free Journey
I find myself seeking out podcasts more and more. They’re my go-to for encouragement, inspiration, and even just some good old-fashioned entertainment. You might also be wondering what are the best podcasts for your alcohol-free journey. It’s a question that pops up in our communities all of the time.

Podcasts are the perfect pick-me-up because you can listen to them anywhere – at home, at the gym, on the way to work, while doing chores, running errands, or even while soaking in the tub! (Bluetooth speakers built into lights are an amazing thing!)
So, I thought I’d share some of my recent favorites that you can tune into as well.
Podcasts for Curiosity and Growth
- The Rest is History: We all know that if we don’t learn from history, we’re doomed to repeat it. Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland make history come alive in this engaging podcast. Episode 213, “London: Moments,” is a personal favorite. It taught me so much about a city I once called home.
- The Happiness Lab: Dr. Laurie Santos, a Yale professor, shares the science behind happiness in this insightful podcast. Forget what you think you know about happiness; this podcast will change your perspective. The episode featuring Super Grover from Sesame Street and his positive self-talk advice was just what I needed to hear recently.
- The Peter Attia Drive: If you’re interested in maximizing longevity and optimizing your health, this podcast is a goldmine. Dr. Peter Attia dives deep into topics like exercise, nutrition, and mental health. The AMA episode #193 on alcohol and sleep and episode 280 on cultivating happiness are particularly impactful.
